I’ve spent my career shipping software end to end, from a PhD in distributed systems to founding engineering at a fast-moving startup. I've worn many hats and enjoy getting involved with all aspects of delivery.

Leading engineering on Outverse’s AI support agent - setting technical direction, shaping the architecture, and helping to grow the team while we build the next generation of tools for SaaS support agents. Worked directly with customers to understand their needs and deploy custom agent solutions to support their team. Built a custom websocket based real-time chat platform for our AI support agent, including an async message queue and human escalation features for support agents. Mentoring and coaching engineers on the team to help them grow and improve their skills, including technical discussions, paired programming and reading club.

Senior Full-stack Engineer · Outverse

Founding engineer building the product from the ground up — architected and built a new B2B software support platform including modern forum and multiplayer documentation tools for SaaS companies. Built on top of Svelte + Django (Python) with asynchronous tasks. Led a frontend migration from a legacy React codebase to Svelte to simplify code and improve developer experience due to the modern svelte features. Gave a talk about the React -> Svelte migration at a local Svelte meetup in London.

Led a team of developers top build a slick traveller focussed direct booking platform for tourism businesses, to help travellers ideate, plan and book their dream trips using local knowledge and whilst supporting local businesses. Mentored junior members of the team with weekly catchups. Explored and fell in love with Svelte + Typescript to create gorgeous, interactive and fun user interfaces written in a simple, maintainable and concise domain specific language for the web..

Senior Full-stack Engineer · Tab

Worked full stack on an in-house international multi-currency payments ledger and apps for handling 10,000+ foreign exchange transactions a day. Added full-stack support for 3DS2 payments to the existing payments infrastructure across multiple gateways/currencies, including upgrading the backend, database and frontend apps to support the new regulations. Successfully led and carried out a major transition from a legacy python 2 codebase to python 3.
